Hoop Dreams

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. No, not Christmas, silly. We’re talking about something much more exciting than that. It’s March Madness! The fight for the Final Four! The hoops hoorah! Whew! Let’s pause for a minute so we can wipe the perspiration from our fevered brow.

College conferences around the country begin play this week to determine who will make it to the big dance, with St. Louis playing host to one of the first tourneys. The Missouri Valley Conference kicks off its annual basketball fest on Thursday at the Scottrade Center. The top team earns an automatic bid to this year’s NCAA tournament.

Will the nationally ranked Drake Bulldogs take the cake this year? Or will local favorites the SIU Salukis pull an upset? Be a part of Arch Madness and find out.
