A Bite of the Big Apple

Need a fix of big city nightlife, but can’t afford the plane fare to the Big Apple? Relax. You can enjoy a night of urbane and sophisticated sound stylings without even crossing the Mississippi River. Just head to The Cabaret at Savor.

You’re likely already familiar with Savor the restaurant, but the Central West End spot also houses an intimate cabaret theater that showcases big-time musical performance in a cozy setting. You’ll have a close-up view of some of the country’s most magical musicians.

Up this week is Klea Blackhurst, a veteran of many of New York’s finest cabaret stages. Blackhurst’s dulcet tones are equally at home with a peppy up-tempo number as with sultry smooth jazz notes. Whatever she performs, you’ll be drawn by her warm and inviting style – and you don’t have to leave St. Louis to find it.

What: Klea Blackhurst cabaret performances
Where: The Cabaret at Savor, 4356 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis
When: March 12 to 15 – 8:30 p.m.
Cost: Tickets are $30, with a $12 minimum tab
