Night at the Science Center
Remember Night at the Museum, the Ben Stiller movie involving science museum exhibits that come to life at closing time? It featured terrific special effects, including a marauding life-sized T. Rex. A version of the film debuted on the big, big, big screen at the Science Center last week, and in conjunction with the screenings, SLSC is sponsoring its own Night at the Museum. Families with kids in grades two to six can take in the flick, munch on pizza and play games designed with the movie in mind. Then, after the fun dies down, they can take out their sleeping bags and camp out under the dinosaurs. Which means you and the kids can see for yourself if any of the exhibits spring to life when the clock strikes 10. But don’t worry, those creepy Body Worlds dudes will be long gone by then. What: Night at the Museum Science Center Camp Out Where: Saint Louis Science Center, St. Louis When: Fri., March 21 to Sat, March 22 – 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. Cost: $75 per camper, $40 per chaperone Info: 314.289.4424 or www.slsc.org |
