Cole Mine
Do you get a kick out of Cole Porter? Is “anything goes” a motto you live by? Then plan on some major misbehaving at The Cabaret at Savor this week, when New Yorker Jeff Harnar takes the stage. This worthy performer has not only achieved plenty of accolades in The Big Apple – appearing at Carnegie Hall and taking home the Manhattan Association of Cabaret Award a couple times – but gained broader popularity from bookings across the country and abroad. (In fact, he’s no stranger to St. Louis. Harnar performed twice as part of the Grand Center Cabaret Series.) In Easy to Love: The Words and Music of Cole Porter, his melodic blend of wit and refinement has been described by the San Francisco Chronicle as “nothing less than the singer Cole Porter deserves.” Sure. But what do you deserve? How about a de-lovely and delightful night of Porter’s classics delivered with graceful style. What: Jeff Harnar performs Easy to Love: The Words and Music of Cole Porter When: Wed., April 2 to Sat., April 5 – 8:30 p.m. Where: The Cabaret at Savor, 4356 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis Cost: $30 plus a $12 minimum Info: 314.531.0220 or www.cabaretatsavor.com |
