A Buzz-Worthy Concert

We prefer our coffee with massive amounts of cream and sugar yet can understand the attraction to a cup of joe sans the extras.

One option we hadn’t considered until recently, however, is following our caffeinated morning ritual with an hour of live music. That is, until we discovered The Sheldon’s Coffee Concerts series, which offers complimentary java and pastries before the entertainment begins.

If this perks your interest, then don’t miss the season’s final installment, which is brewing over the next two days. It features the talents of local singer Leon Burke alongside his pals, who together will perform hits from Broadway musicals such as Porgy and Bess, South Pacific and Chicago. It’s a morning lineup sure to have you buzzing the rest of the day.

What: Leon Burke: Best of Broadway
When: Tue. and Wed., April 8 and 9 – 10 a.m. (Enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries at 9 a.m. in the Louis Spiering Room.)
Where: Sheldon Concert Hall, 3648 Washington Blvd., St. Louis
Cost: $10 to $12
