Changing Tune
The cracking sound of bat-on-ball, the cheers as Pujols rounds third, and the vendors’ soothing refrain “Ice cold beer here!” all tell us we’re happily ensconced inside Busch Stadium. So what would you say if the tune changed for a night? Because while the Cards are away on business this summer, The Dave Matthews Band (with help from The Black Crowes) will transform our baseball haven into a one-night rock haven. It’s the first of its kind in the new stadium, yet old hat for St. Louis concert-goers, as the original Busch was known for hosting musical acts ranging from The Beatles to Billy Joel. After all, there’s nothing like a mega-musical distraction to help make it through until the next home game.
