We know you’ve always dreamed of being the kind of family that spends weekends together expanding your creative side. Who, in the midst of joyful laughter and delightful conversation, glued, glittered and painted display-worthy projects.

Of course, in reality, you avoid glue, glitter and paint like the plague, knowing that your gang would likely spend about five minutes “creating” and you’d spend the rest of the weekend cleaning up. Still, despite all odds, hope remains for your crafty desires at Yucando Art Studio.

Whether you’re a sucker for glittery headbands, mosaic projects or papier-mâché pigs, the supplies are provided. (There are projects the whole family can work on together, too.) As for weekend warriors, studio time fees are waived on both Friday and Saturday nights. So feel free to explore your creative side, and then leave the mess behind.

What: Yucandu Art Studio
When: Mon. to Thu. – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fri. and Sat. – 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 20 Allen Ave., Webster Groves
Cost: $3 per hour studio time, plus the cost of your project; free studio time Fri. and Sat. – 5 to 8 p.m. with the purchase of a project
