The Land Before Time, Rediscovered
Dinosaurs might technically be extinct, but the zoo has managed to bring the excitement of these compelling creatures back to life through the beginning of September. The outdoor exhibit, featuring animatronic dinosaurs “that move, roar and even spit,” will pique the curiosity of young minds as they take part in fossil digs and get acquainted with the 3-D motion simulator Dino Island 2. Looking to multitask? On weekends, double your pleasure by visiting first with T-Rex and then checking out tricks from animals still very much alive today: sea lions. These playful creatures aren’t afraid to make a spectacle, and their playful antics give those dinos a run for their money as summer’s top zoological attraction.
