Say Goodbye With Good Buys
It’s hard to say goodbye to a favorite haunt, which is why we’re feeling a bit blue about the Ellen Curlee Gallery’s final few weeks at 1308-A Washington Ave. On the other hand, we couldn’t be more excited about the farewell exhibit, Take Out, an artistic delight that brings together 100 photographs for 100 bucks each. The hand-picked participating artists (including artists who have exhibited at the gallery in the past) were asked to consider the idea “to remove,” and now art-lovers are invited to help with the “metaphorical decamping” of the space by purchasing finished pieces right off the wall.
