Filmy Eyed

If co-workers nod off today, wake them gently. And if your customers resemble zombies, don’t be surprised.

Ambitious filmmakers around the area renounced sleep this past weekend in order to take part in the 48 Hour Film Project, which is exactly what it sounds like: a competition during which teams create short movies within two days. It wasn’t until Friday night that teams learned whether their creations should be funny, scary, animated or something else altogether, and it was only then that they were allowed to begin the exhausting process of writing, filming and scoring it.

We’re tired just thinking about it. But we’re also curious to see the end results, which is why you’ll find us at the Tivoli this week picking our favorites before the “best of” screening next week.
