It’s Not so Hard to Say Goodbye

Goodbye bats and gloves. Goodbye ballpark hot dogs and frosty brews. Goodbye to another season of baseball. We’ll see you next year!

Now, now, we know the Cardinals’ regular season is far from over, but it just so happens that two other local clubs are winding down theirs: The River City Rascals and Gateway Grizzlies, both part of the independent Frontier League. Lucky for us, we have a chance to catch both teams in action as they face off against each other during a three-day series starting tonight at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.

With tickets as low as $5, and those frosty brews mentioned above bottoming out at only a buck on Thursday’s customer appreciation night, this is one goodbye party we can’t afford to miss.

What: River City Rascals versus the Gateway Grizzlies
When: Tue. to Thu., Aug. 26 to 28 – 7:05 p.m.
Where: T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon, Mo. at the corner of T.R. Hughes Boulevard and Tom Ginnever Avenue.
Cost: $5 to $10 (There is an additional $1 charge on game day.)
