Big Red Balls for Big Red Noses

Kids and clowns. They’ve been a playful combination ever since oversized shoes and rainbow-colored wigs came into fashion. But around these parts, some of the hardest working clowns also wear stethoscopes and scrubs.

That’s because they’re busy stirring up smiles at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, giving kids a reason to giggle when there might not be much else for them to giggle about. The program is supported by donations, and you’re invited to help out this Saturday by rounding up a team for the second annual Kickball for a Cause benefit.

If you can’t wait to get started, the kickoff party gets rolling on Thursday at Olivette’s Chevys Fresh Mex, where you can register, scope out the competition and pick up your goodie bag. Then again, if you prefer lounging around to running around on the weekends, consider the Kick it From Home option and spend your day clowning around however you like.
