Welcome, Winter Blues

It's like a slice of summer for fruit beer fans: Anheuser-Busch's Wild Blue is now in St. Louis. Though it's been available in certain Midwest markets for a couple of years, it was the blueberry lager's success at the St. Louis Brewers Heritage Festival last May that prompted A-B to introduce it here.

Brewed in upstate New York, Wild Blue is made with two- and six-row barley malt, Willamette and German Hallertau hops, and real blueberry syrup. It tastes, smells and even looks like blueberries.

If you like fruit beers – and the added kick of 8 percent alcohol by volume – consider Wild Blue your ray of sunshine.

Sauce pick: Wild Blue
