Restaurateurs Unite


We all love to eat out at restaurants. Whether new or old, big or small, we all have our favorite eatery. But how often do we consider what it takes to make those restaurants our favorite, the long hours, the sweat, the financial and personal risks? Obviously restaurateurs do. Last Sunday, the Missouri Restaurant Association honored its own during the 2008 Restaurateurs Salute to Service. It was a night when Thom Sehnert, owner of Annie Gunn’s, was inducted into the association’s Hall of Fame. Rich LoRusso, of LoRusso’s Cucina, became president of the Greater St. Louis Restaurant Association while John Lane, owner of Johnny’s Beanery in Columbia, was installed as president of the Missouri Restaurant Association. That’s a pretty big night for those who toil to make our dining experience memorable. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have a reservation to make.
