Chop, Scoop, Serve
Even though there are a lot of cutting boards on the market, it can be hard to find one that combines all the features we need in a single board. Butcher blocks might be the standard, but they’re not right for every task. And while flexible boards are good for transferring items to a waiting pan, they can also be awkward and messy. That’s why we’re intrigued by the Chop-n-Scoop Cutting Board – a uniquely-shaped, hard-surface board that promises to be all things to all cooks. Made of stain-resistant Polysterene, the Chop-n-Scoop looks like a giant spatula with a grip handle that allows you to lift and then scoop or slide chopped ingredients into a waiting pan or dish. Since the board’s sides curve up slightly, the Chop-n-Scoop “cups” the ingredients to keep them from sliding off in the wrong direction during transfer. The boards, which are white with black handles, come in three standard sizes: small, medium and large. And since they’re dishwasher safe, they’re perfect for health-sensitive kitchen tasks, such as cutting raw meat and poultry.
