Warm Amber Glow
If you like amber ale – and we’re pretty sure you do ’cause it’s a broad, easy-to-love style – check out Wednesday’s “Am-burr!” beer class, next up in Whole Foods Markets’ popular monthly beer series. The Brentwood store’s resident beer heads – culinary director Ric Syberg and beer specialist Andy Snead – will teach you about amber ale, which is pretty much anything between pale and dark. Sounds like a wide, wonderful world of sampling, don’t you agree? Some of the half-dozen-or-so ambers that will be tasted include Oregon’s Rogue American and Tornado Alley from Charleville Vineyard & Microbrewery in Ste. Genevieve. Add in some snacks, and you’re golden. Sauce pick: “Am-burr! – the February Beer Class,” Wed., Feb. 13 – 6:30 to 8 p.m., $20 Where to get it: Whole Foods Market, 1601 S. Brentwood Blvd., Brentwood Info: 314.968.7744 or www.wholefoodsmarket.com |
