Noodles Benefit Kirkwood Memorial Fund
We were all shocked by the recent tragedy in Kirkwood, and as we struggled with the aftermath, we felt frustrated that there wasn’t much we could do. The Dean family – owners of Dean Volkswagen in Kirkwood – has given us an avenue to express our sorrow through the Kirkwood Memorial Benefit Fund, which provides assistance to the families of those who died at the city council meeting. Started with an initial $10,000 donation by Dean, the fund is now up to just over $29,000. That total should increase significantly this Saturday, when the Des Peres Noodles & Co. donates 50 percent of the day’s sales to the fund. We never need a reason to partake in the company’s array of Asian-, Mediterranean- and American-inspired noodle dishes, soups and salads, but Saturday’s lunch will be even more satisfying.
