Celebrating the Snake Charmer at Tigin

Instead of kissing the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, dine with them. Better yet, do both at Tigin Irish Pub and Restaurant. This weekend, the new downtown pub (pronounced Ti-geen) celebrates the snake charmer with music and drink specials. But what about on Monday, the actual feast day? Saints be alive, it’s all about the food: all-day Irish breakfast, fish and chips, Guinness barbecue wings, corned beef and cabbage, and our favorite, those tasty little potato pancakes known as boxties. Wash it all down with a freshly drawn pint o’ Guinness, Harp or Smithwick’s while you admire the re-assembled bar brought over from Ireland.

Sauce pick: St. Patrick’s Day Feast
Where to get it: Tigin, 333 Washington Ave., St. Louis (in the Hampton Inn)
