What better way to say happy birthday and congratulations on Israel’s 60th anniversary (and plan the wine selection for Passover next month) than by toasting a few glasses of Israeli wine? Just as it did last September, the Israel Business & Technology Committee is sponsoring a tasting of the finest wines coming out of Israel today. Seven wineries, producing wines mainly from the Judean Hills and the Dan Region near Tel Aviv, will be featured: Barkan, Bazelet Hagolan, Carmel, Domaine Du Castel, Psagot, Segal and Yatir Forest. Not to be confused with the grapey-sweet Mogen David and Manischewitz wines many of us remember from our youth, Israeli Kosher wine is to vino what sea bass is to fish sticks.
