Beer School is in Session

The folks down at the beer factory – Anheuser-Busch to the rest of the world – know a thing or two about malt-flavored beverages. The folks at the Humane Society of Missouri know a thing or two about protecting animals. Put the two together in a room, and you either have a perfect union or one helluva cat fight. Honestly, we don’t even know what that means. But we do know that at tonight’s beer event at the Humane Society, you’ll learn the basics of beer and its enjoyment while benefiting the society’s special Chi Chi Fund, named in memory of Chi Chi, a schnauzer mix who died as a result of horrible cruelty. You’ll learn the difference between ale and lager, why the right glass makes all the difference, and the chemistry behind the equation of barley + hops + water = beer while sampling brews paired with cheese. Show up tardy and you risk even more demerits.
