Pass the Paso Robles, Please

What better way to end tax day than with a glass of wine? A glass of wine from California’s Paso Robles wine region to be exact. We’re quite fond of wines from the region in San Luis Obispo County, smack in the middle between San Francisco and Los Angeles, that’s home to wineries like Wild Horse, Turley, Tobin James and Robert Hall. But the area really got hopping, with tourists at least, when Miles, the depressed lead character played by Paul Giamatti in the 2004 film Sideways, went on a Pinot Noir binge through Paso Robles.

Hopefully you’ll be in better spirits next Tuesday, when the Paso Robles Grand Tasting Tour comes to town to show off over 25 wineries. A few sips and you’ll realize why wines from the Central Coast region are so distinctive.
