Put a Lid on It

It seems like every time we get out a roll of plastic wrap to cover something, we get in a fight with it. So you can imagine our excitement when we discovered a line of silicone lids that seal the deal with the flick of a hand.

Made from soft, translucent silicone, the lids are designed to form an airtight, freezer-safe seal on just about anything – from mixing bowls and casseroles to stockpots and saucepans. They come in four “universal” sizes – three round versions and a rectangular lid for 9-by-13-inch baking or roasting dishes. Even though they’re freezer-safe, they’ll also withstand heats of up to 675 degrees, so you can use them in the oven, the microwave or on the stovetop. The round lids will even double as trivets for hot dishes or splatter guards for sautéing. And since the lids come in orange, green, blue and translucent white, you can match them to your dishes or décor. Take that, plastic wrap.
