What’s for Supper?

Lynne Rossetto Kasper’s latest cookbook, How to Eat Supper, co-written with radio producer Sally Swift, is not really a book about how to eat – hopefully you’ve mastered that by now. Nor is it a just another cookbook with page after page of complicated recipes nobody cares about. If you’re a regular listener to Rossetto-Kasper’s The Splendid Table – and who isn’t? – you can expect the same successful approach to food: going beyond the recipe and introducing you to people and their stories that shape our changing sense of food and cooking. Whether you have two left hands in the kitchen or can handle a sauté pan like a ballet dancer, you’ll find both simple and challenging dishes to spark your imagination. Tonight, the cook-food writer-radio host will sign the book, tell stories and otherwise engage us with her knowledge and personable style.
