Crawfish for a Cause

There’s little that compares to the gastronomical combo of fresh-boiled crawfish and ice-cold beer. Unless, of course, the money spent to partake in such pleasure goes to benefit the American Cancer Society. This Saturday, that’s exactly the scenario at the 16th Annual Crawfish Boil and Ragin’ Cajun Fest. Stop by 10th and Allen in Soulard any time between 3 p.m. and midnight, pay a paltry $20, and indulge all you want in spicy boiled crawfish, shrimp, jambalaya, beer-can chicken and cold, cold beer. The street will be closed to vehicle traffic, giving you plenty of space to mosey about as you eat, drink and listen to the music of The Pedestrians, None the Wiser and Leslie Nillissen.
