Get Dad’s Grill On

If stubborn ol’ dad simply refuses to tear himself away from the grill on Father’s Day, at least get him a copy of Dierbergs’ latest cookbook, Grilling. It’s the third in a series (the others are Weeknights and Best of Dierbergs) and just in time for Father’s Day, the second most popular grilling day behind July 4 – we think.

The hardcover, full-color book covers everything from grilling quick mid-week suppers to long, lazy backyard feasts. With over 100 recipes like Mesquite Smoked Brisket, Mojo Shrimp Salad and Whiskey Pepper Chops with Molasses Butter, dad will never come inside. There are also recipes for sides and desserts, just to round out the entrées. And each recipe has been tested at the Dierberg’s School of Cooking, so dad can’t blame anyone else if there are too many empty cans around that beer-can chicken.
