Ain't Nothing but 'Cue

Because Father’s Day and barbecue just seem natural together, today we’re sharing another barbecue tidbit: The king of ‘cue, Steven Raichlen, is coming to St. Louis to celebrate the 10th Anniversary Edition of his aptly titled The Barbecue Bible, one of the best-selling barbecue books ever published. The former professor of 18th-century French literature turned award-winning author, journalist and cooking teacher is in town next Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday night, as part of the St. Louis Jewish Book Festival, Raichlen will talk ‘cue and sign books as well as answer all your barbecue questions – or French lit questions, who knows? Taking dad to get a copy of the anniversary edition autographed is the perfect gift for the father who already has every grill tool ever made. On Wednesday, Raichlen will be at the Kirkwood Farmers’ Market to sign more copies of the book. Now if that doesn’t inspire you to fire up the grill, you may as well just bake cookies.
