One-Track Mind

Some people! All they think about is food. We love those people.

And that’s why a heat-hearty sedum called Pork and Beans has caught our eye. Its leaves are jelly bean-shaped. Doesn’t that sound great? We also like how its rhubarb-colored tips turn beany brown. Sugar Creek Gardens manager Peggy Hoelting said Pork and Beans lends texture to a mix of succulents, and we said, “You mean the way chopped pistachios add dimension to a citrusy summer salad?” We guess we’re just those people.
