Chess Queen

Grandpa would never steer you in the wrong direction – or so you thought. And then ... checkmate.

Not that you’d ever aspire to beat the socks off a dear old man, but we thought you might be interested to know The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of St. Louis opened today. Members can settle into the club’s new space – a sharp and cozy three-story venue in the Central West End. Whether addicts or beginners, players of all ages can listen to lectures about chess strategies and try to make their opponent’s queen take the walk of shame in a tournament. Oh, yeah – we know what you’re thinking. “Hey, Grandpa, wanna play now?”
